At Equal, we believe movement has the power to bring people together and that community extends beyond our studios.
That's why we regularly partner with local charities that create meaningful impact in the cities we call home. Through selected events, we raise funds for organizations that support people facing homelessness, housing insecurity, and other life challenges.
Together with our community, we're proud to support two incredible organizations: Het Stoelenproject in Amsterdam and De Tussenvoorziening in Utrecht.
Amsterdam: Supporting Het Stoelenproject
For our Amsterdam events, we proudly partner with Het Stoelenproject.
Founded in 1989, Het Stoelenproject provides free, safe, and accessible overnight shelter for people experiencing homelessness in Amsterdam during the winter months. Every evening from mid-September until the end of April, they offer a warm place to sleep, a hot meal, and a welcoming environment for up to 50 people—regardless of their background or circumstances.
What began as a group of local residents determined to make a difference has grown into one of Amsterdam's most accessible emergency shelters. Supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, Het Stoelenproject continues to believe that everyone deserves warmth, safety, and dignity.
Utrecht: Supporting De Tussenvoorziening
For our Utrecht events, we're proud to support De Tussenvoorziening.
De Tussenvoorziening helps people in Utrecht and the surrounding region who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their home. Through shelter, supported housing, debt assistance, and personal guidance, they help people rebuild stability and move forward with confidence.
Each year, the organization supports more than 1,500 people with the help of hundreds of dedicated employees and volunteers. Their approach is warm, personal, and focused on empowering people to regain independence and create a safe place to call home.

To celebrate 10 years of Equal, we've created a limited-edition anniversary T-shirt—and every purchase supports our charity partners.
The white, unisex relaxed-fit T-shirt features a playful black "10 Years of Equal" print on the back, designed by Desy, one of our Utrecht hosts and a talented graphic designer. We're incredibly proud to showcase creativity from within our own community.
The T-shirt is available at the front desk in our studios for €20. Every euro goes directly to support Het Stoelenproject and De Tussenvoorziening.

Together We Make an Impact
Every time you join one of our charity events, you're contributing to something bigger than the class itself.
Whether it's providing a warm meal, a safe place to sleep, guidance towards stable housing, or support during a difficult chapter of someone's life, every ticket sold helps make a positive impact in our local communities.
Our 10-Year Anniversary Celebration was one of those moments. Thanks to everyone who joined us in Amsterdam and Utrecht, we were able to donate to both organizations and celebrate not only a decade of Equal, but also the power of community coming together for a greater purpose.
